Southern Colorado is easily reached from I-25 south from Denver or north from the New Mexico border at Trinidad.  From Walsenburg, take Highway 160 west to Highway 12 south to La Veta and Cuchara.

Most properties described are within the Scenic Highway of Legends area bounded by I-25 on the east and Highway 12 (purple route) on the west, near the mystical Sangre de Cristo Mountains.  It's a very historic and breathtakingly beautiful area!
